There is no life without growth and change! Our goal is to help you uncover your true potential and to lead a life that is worth honoring. While we can't change the past, we can work together to better understand and manage your current life situation. By applying complementary approaches and techniques, we will bring long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions to light, and determine what may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking to be the best version of yourself, for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation, or if you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you.
Healing Touch is an energy based therapy that is accomplished through the practitioner’s use of contact and/or non-contact touch and a heart-centered state of being to support and facilitate physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and healing. The healing traditions of many cultures emphasize the importance of subtle energy systems that flow through and around the human body, affecting its health and vitality. Many of these traditions stress that balancing these energy fields can assist the body, mind, and spirit in moving towards and maintaining wellness.
Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a body-focused approach to understanding and healing stress/trauma. In SE, we understand that stress and trauma symptoms appear when our bodies get stuck in the survival stage of the stress response sequence (e.g., fight-or-flight, helplessness, and numbness). This is why a lot of people have an intuition that their bodies are “holding” the stress and traumas they have experienced/are experiencing.
The process of SE begins by learning to pay attention to the sensations in our bodies, and once we learn how to follow the sensations in our bodies, we use this awareness to move through the stress response sequence and restore a sense of ease and flow. Along the way, we also cultivate greater capacity for sensing and feeling joy, excitement, and calm as well as fear, outrage, and deep grief. The more embodied, fluid and congruent we become with our own inner experiences, the more compassionate and engaged we become. This is embodied healing.
